1. Some Pros, Some Cons
The Winco ERCW-66 is an OK product. I've owned about 8 of these. Four of them I shipped back upon delivery because the indicator lights (Red = Cooking, Orange = Warming) were either not working or stopped working in the first couple of days.
Invariably, the lights stop working or work sporadically making it difficult to tell whether/how it's working.
The pros: It's got a fairly large capacity for an electric rice cooker. Most often, you will find gas rice cookers in brands/models with this capacity. When it's working, it does a pretty consistent job a making perfect rice.
The cons: I think the life of this unit is too short. I've repaired a few of mine when they have stopped working and the problem is usually in a faulty wire. It seems like a little bit higher quality wire would result in a much longer lived product. I get that Winco probably wouldn't sell as many replacement units, but maybe that would be offset by more sales based on the...
