I have been using various bread makers for nearly 40 years. This particular model is the best I have ever used. It makes wonderful light and well raised loaves and unless my grandsons are visiting I slice it bag it and freeze it. Without any preservatives it would soon go stale. I also make pizza dough in this bread maker but normally stick to white and whole-wheat. In my opinion this model bread maker is worth it's weight in gold. When it breaks down and the way I use it, it will, I will replace it with the same make and model.
I would like to add that as I am not gluten intolerant I add a table spoon of gluten and to make my loaf soft and fluffy and well risen I add a table spoon of dough enhancer. This Kenmore machine also has a feature that allows the paddle to be taken out of the loaf so it does not have holes in the finished product. I do believe Cuisinart has the same feature.
