This Convection Ovens give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great oven - when it works
The feature set on this oven is fantastic. Can bake, steam, reheat, keeps things moist. It takes a little bit of reading the manual to learn how to program since it's different from a regular oven, but once you get the hang of it, it's wonderful the results are tasty!

It's a bit smaller size on the inside than normal ovens, given the water container and convection mechanism both have to fit. We found we had to buy new smaller cookie sheets. Not a problem since you can stack vertically, though, and we have not had trouble fitting cake forms or even ducks and turkeys into it. It may be a problem if you try to do huge turkeys (we've entertained for 10 people just fine).

My big problem is with Thermador service and quality. Our oven clock/timer stopped working accurately after 7 months. The clock just can't keep time (it still displays time and you can set it but it's just not accurate). This of course affects any timed cooking/baking function. Thermador has very...

2. I love my steam oven
First - i went into the appliance store, not knowing that i needed this oven. I was going to buy a double oven, like everyone else. I found that this steam convection oven can function like a regular oven, but can also do so much more. I love baking with it - gives bread that hard crunchy shell, unlike baking in a regular oven. I also made our Thanksgiving turkey in it this year - it was awesome!

The only caveat, is that i don't have many recipes for it - i really wish they had a cook book that came with it. I have to improvise, I am no pro so. . . I have never made anything that i hated - but, it probably could have been better. I will also say that i use this appliance 80% more than i do the regular convection oven.

I would buy it again, but really wish i could get some recipes! :)
