1. Very Nice F-15B Model
I have been collecting desktop models for 25 years. This is a beautiful example of the latest desktop models from the big manufactures (Mastercraft/Showcase/Toys & Models/RTM are all the same). This model is of F-15B serial number 71-290 as modified for the "Active" NASA flight tests with forward canards and nose probe. Unlike other F-15 models by the same company in 1/48 scale which are made of kiln-dried mahagony, this model is made of injection molded plastic. There are no visible seam lines and the model has an excellent overall shape and the proportions are accurate. Another advantage of this model is that all markings are painted on instead of using decals. While I don't mind decals, the painted markings are very well done and are normally reserved for much more expensive models. Overall, I am very pleased with this addition to my F-15 model fleet and definately reccomend it to others.
